Attracting 1000 new staff with increased flexibility
A mining company started a new greenfield project and wanted to attract 1000 new employees with a focus on growing the number of women in its workforce.
The goal was to increase diversity by offering roster options that would differentiate the organisation in the labour market. Options that promoted job-sharing and flexibility were also of interest.
We helped them identify the best set of roster work arrangements and where to target the search for each of the new mining roles. Our FIFO logistics analysis also helped them establish the correct size of the up-market camp and how to optimise the flight schedule and camp support staff to minimise costs whilst meeting health and sanitisation requirements.
